Minister for the Environment, Climate Change and Water, Lisa Neville, has granted the Former Lands Department Chemical Inquiry a six week extension due to a higher than expected volume of documents to review and analyse.
The report is now expected to be provided to the Minister on 11 November 2015.
Around 74 interviews with former or current employees (or family members of deceased employees) have been undertaken to date, and 53 written submissions were received.
More than 100,000 pages of information is currently being analysed by the Inquiry team. The vast majority of this information has been sourced from a range of Victorian Government departmental files.
